I’m so incredibly proud to finally show you my brand new personal quiver!
It is a white leather quiver, engraved with about 80% of Tolkien’s map of Middle Earth: It shows the Shire, the Grey Mountains, Erebor, Rohan, Gondor and the mountain range of Mordor. And all the water on the map is painted blue.
Every bit of it. Every lake, river, creek and pond. It took me HOURS.
The Lonely Mountain is painted gold and the entire piece is protected with a water resistant finish. I used a dark brown leather braid and stitches for a nice contrast against the white (I also think it matches the engraving quite nicely) and I chose light silver materials to fasten the quiver to my belt. With a longer strip of leather, I can change the fastners and wear it on my back.
As you can tell, I’m pretty damn pleased with the final result. I have yet to take it out for better pictures of it in use but I couldn’t wait any longer to show it off here. Gosh I hope you guys love it as much as I do.
coffee: always frantic, has a crammed schedule, never stops consuming caffeine, will agree to go to a party even if they have a six a.m. shift the next day
bujo: organized, likes to makes lists and keep track of things, plans outfit the night before, stresses when they get a grade less than a B
oops: stopped caring in the third grade, somehow manages to get okay grades, never studies, kind of lazy, would eat Waffle House at 3 in the morning
sweatshirt: is trying as hard as they possibly can, has to study and work hard for their grades, constantly stressing, has social anxiety, tries to do every extra curricular under the sun
aesthetique: probably vegetarian or vegan, has a “mom jean” 80′s aesthetic, glorifies local cafes, wants to live in Europe, always wants to cut their hair
gothique: black clothes only, still stans my chemical romance, uses sarcasm as a defense mechanism, desperately wants some tattoos, likes the black lipstick look but too shy to do it
And miss me with the “both parties are the same/Democrats are evil” bullshit. You’re voting, not choosing someone to have sex with. And there’s a clear choice even if it isn’t ideal. Your political purity testing is only going to harm us all. Nonvoters gave us Trump – it’s science. Popular vote does NOT determine the presidency, but it does fill Congress with an inordinate amount of Republicans who do NOT represent the popular majority. Look at a map sometime.
I’m gonna try to get early voting done this week. I suspect that the polls are going to be swamped later on, and I’m not 100% sure I’ll be able to make it either way.
Please, please, please vote. You’ve seen what the Republicans are doing with their majority. The Democrats cannot possibly make this worse. If nothing else, vote for them because Trump obviously does not want us to.
