Last week on my way to work in the early morning, a coyote darted in front of my car and I hit it. I heard a crunch and believed I ran over and killed it. Upon stopping at a traffic light by my work, a construction woman notified me that there was in fact a coyote still embedded in my car. When I got out to look, this poor little guy was looking up and blinking at me. I notified Alberta fish and wildlife enforcement right away who came to rescue him. Miraculously, he was freed and had minimal injuries despite having hitched a ride from Airdrie to Calgary at highway speeds! Their biologist checked him over and gave him the good to go. They released him in Kananaskis. Clearly mother nature has other plans for this special little guy! -Georgie Knox

And Duck Day, the day we time carefully each year based on prices, rates of public meat consumption, the phase of the moon etc. to drive to a farm and get two plump ducks for roasting at Christmas.
And the day our favorite patisserie reopens after a bit of remodeling, so, pastry run.
And Belle Day, when we have to show up two hours early for our dinner reservation, because from past experience that’s how long the requests for pictures delay us once people see That Yellow Dress. Hey, I didn’t spend a whole month straight sewing that thing to wear it only once. :p

Hey do y’all fucks remember two years ago when just before the election all these “don’t vote both parties are bad” or “vote independent!” Posts were going around and then Trump won and now two weeks before midterms there’s all these “don’t bother voting, revolution is the only way!” And “your vote isn’t gonna matter and is an ineffective way to protest” posts are going around? Yeah knock that shit right the fuck off, don’t fall for it and get your ass to the polls, we are not doing this again.
It has been widely recognized by American intelligence agencies that Russians are disseminating false information and have been urging citizens not to vote, the same as they did in 2016.
Do not fall for it!!! Your voice matters!!! Your vote counts!!!
Don’t trust anything that tells you not to vote, or to vote in a direction that won’t change anything. Remember that the people in power are actively trying to stop you from voting, because your vote matters.
